  3. Share the short link, or let someone scan the QR code from your screen.
  4. One hour later the paste is deleted and the link stops working.

What Snippetus is for

Snippetus is a throwaway pastebin for the moments when a chat window is the wrong place for 200 lines of a stack trace: sending a log to a colleague, moving a config snippet to your phone, showing a code sample on a projector. Pastes get automatic syntax highlighting with language detection, and they expire on their own, so nothing piles up and there is no history to clean out later.

It runs as a single Cloudflare Worker with the content stored in Workers KV under a one-hour TTL.

Frequently asked questions

What is Snippetus?

Snippetus is a minimal temporary pastebin. You paste code or text, and you get back a short URL and a QR code that you can share with anyone.

How long does a paste last?

One hour. After that the paste is deleted automatically and the link stops working. There is no way to extend it.

Do I need an account?

No. There is no sign-up, no login and no paste history. You only solve a CAPTCHA so the service is not abused by bots.

Is Snippetus free?

Yes. Snippetus is free to use, with no account and no sign-up.

Can a paste be found on Google?

No. Paste pages are served with a noindex header and are blocked in robots.txt, so search engines and AI crawlers do not index them. Only this landing page is indexable.

Should I paste passwords or secrets?

No. Pastes are not encrypted end to end and anyone holding the link can open it until it expires. Treat a Snippetus link as public and rotate any credential you share by mistake.
